Are you old enough to remember those John Player Lotus F1 cars by Corgi? Well I’ve still got mine…..
As a small boy, a grandfather who served in the Royal Air Force repairing battle damaged Lancasters instilled a passion for aviation, plus playing with that toy Corgi JPS Lotus and watching JY Stewart and Ronnie Petersen drifting their Tyrrells gave me the small boy’s car addiction and facination with gadgets and things mechanical that has never gone away.
Why hire me?
Well firstly, because you think the work you see here fits in with your style and what you’re wanting to achieve by hiring a photographer.
Commercial clients hire me to provide a single solution, taking care of all the logistics involved in a shoot, whether it’s in the north of Sweden, the South of France, or just around the corner here in Yorkshire. Negotiating and arranging logistics with property owners, race circuit managers, airports and aircraft operators and relevant authorities are all just part of the things we do. We work alongside your existing staff and create images for you to use in everything from internal reports to advertising billboards to websites streaming video on demand.
If you’re in the editorial publishing business, I can deliver complete features with accurate words and pictures on a variety of subjects close to my heart. Or, I’m happy to work alongside your writing team as a photographer. You can read more about photo-journalism here.
Want to know more?
Here’s a very brief and informal bio.
Left college many moons ago now with some A Levels, including engineering drawing. Got a chance job driving hire cars in the holiday months and realised that actually, I could be earning good money right now, instead of in five years time and I was lured into the motor industry. Around about then, a shiny Nikon was purchased and a small seed was germinated….
Car showrooms were a fun place to be in the 80’s and 90’s, especially if you were in the specialist car business. Drove some great cars but much more importantly met some great people, both customers and colleagues, who remain freinds today.
By 2001, I’d done all I would want to do in a showroom, those Nikons were looking really battered and after a carefully crafted business plan on the back of a car brochure and an eye watering investment in Canon digital equipment, I had my first clients.
Since then, my work has taken me everywhere in Europe from the north of Sweden in -30c temparatures to the south of France by the swimming pool.
