I write for a diverse range of channels. Today’s media technologies are driven by new deadlines and publishing schedules that no longer revolve around monthly printing press runs. This finds me writing anything from Magbook long form content, through 2500 word features destined for monthly magazines all the way to 500 word blog posts and 160 character Tweets. We live in some fascinating times and writing about the subjects I’m passionate about has never been more exciting.
While I am historically known for automotive feature writing, the huge appetite of today’s always connected audience leads to a diverse range of clients, often not only the traditional publisher, with more and more brands discovering the compelling value of content marketing strategies.
Not Just a Car Writer, But Writing About The Things I’m Passionate About
Cars and transportation are a popular subject. In fact, I’m quite happy to travel anywhere and cover anything including aviation, technology, buildings, travel and architecture. I’ve written about everything from collectable classics and historic F5000 racing cars to Japanese tuner cars and the latest hybrid technology. As ever, the most important aspects of the best motoring features are not just the cars themselves, but the passions of the people involved. I’ve met everyone from world champions of motorsport and racing legends to rock star musicians and tuner car builders with a demonic obsession. It’s a diverse life.

Feature Writing
I work with publishers to create long form features. Together, we create stories about such diverse subjects as driving lightweight Porsche, picturesque road trip stories through France and driving reports on both the exciting new technologies happening today plus the iconic classic cars that everyone would love to own.
Non automotive subjects include content marketing strategies for some of the leading leisure and tourism destinations, creating inspiring marketing copy for Ice Driving destinations in Scandinavia, plus online writing for leading tourism and brands.
I deliver copy on deadline, on word count and to your brief, working with your editorial and creative teams or working solo to create words and pictures features as required. I’m able to oversee and co-ordinate production of photo and video shoots, safely and on budget.
