It’s true that a neglected blog looks bad. Well, I’m a guilty party, as I just took a look at my last posting and it’sAl mismo tiempo, practicar los juegos de poker online freeкомпютри втора употреба en linea de forma gratuita antes de jugar por dinero real ofrece una ventaja en el momento de ganar. from six months ago!
It’s a bit late now for new year resolutions, but I’ll be making a determined effort to write weekly from now on. The good news, of course, is that I’ve been busy with other projects, more of which to follow soon.

Aerial photography nearly always has a tight and specific brief. It’s rare that you take off without a deadline / weather issue / particular view required. But this unusual request from the father of a bridegroom recently got the brain cells revving up.
His son was getting married in just ten days time and lived a few doors from the church. However, straight afterwards, the newly weds would be moving home, so it was thought a really great present would be a large format aerial print showing both the church and the grooms old home, all in one shot.
Easy. All we had to do was fly directly over the top of Beverley, a built up area, wait for the cloud shadows to move, the heavy traffic constantly moving in front of the small cottage to clear, get the aircraft at just the right angle so that the houses opposite didn’t block it out and get a selection of shots for the client to chose. All the while looking at the late September haze that was developing at 1,000 feet and remaining legal in the aircraft. Which, of course, is what clients pay me for.
It’s on briefs like this that a pilot experienced in flying aerial photography shines and the two of us working together that day made my job a lot easier.

The final image chosen was the one above. And the house was in the bottom right of the shot, facing the camera. I love it when a plan comes together….

The words and pictures feature of Ric’s BMW E30 has just been published in Performance BMW Magazine with one shot being used for the pull out poster. Ric paints RAF jets for a living, so a BMW shouldn’t even make him raise a sweat. Many thanks to all the guys at British Oxygen in Scunthorpe for the use of a great ‘Blade Runner’ location!

The Carbon Dioxide was bloody freezing, of course, so much hilarity and very little sympathy from the spectators as I stood in the cloud of it to get the full Ridley Scott effect.

I’ve stood in countless forests over the years waiting to see Colin blast through in the same flat out style. In an age when big business runs motorsport, he seemed to be able to combine making a good living with always driving flat out for the win.
It’s a black day today to think we’ll never again see him in a car, be it WRC, Le Mans or Paris Dakar or giving one of his ironic comments to camera.
He made many people happy over the years and I cannot imagine what his family must be going through right now.
You’ll be missed by a great many.

Subaru Imprezas have never been accused of being slow, but when you have to compete against cars with 800+ Bhp in the Time Attack series, you’d better get a shake on.. Photographed and wrote a feature for Banzai magazine about one such team out there with just 450 Bhp, run by Scooby Clinic in the Pro Class, but with a non-pro driver

It made an interesting feature as the team recruited Andrew McKenna to dispense some driver coaching and chassis setup expertise to try and make up for the horsepower shortfall.

“Oh no! Not another bloody blog….” I hear you say. A good point, so I’ll not be harping on about personal opinions, religious beliefs or getting on my hind legs about the state of the world.
This will be some simple news pages showing what I’ve been up to recently, forthcoming news and anything else I think might be useful for you reading this site. There will be some more content appearing soon, but I’ve only just loaded this part of the site, so it’ll take time to build.
